Chinese, foreign youths visit world heritages in Hangzhou

June 14 marks China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. Hangzhou invites young people from home and abroad to visit three world heritages, such as the West Lake, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City.

At the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City,Kosareva Kseniia, an international student from Russia, polishes the jade waretogether with Chinese youths to experience the craftsmanship of Liangzhu ancestors 5,000 years ago.

Near the Grand Canal, Theo Lexcellent, an international student from France, draws an oil-paper umbrellaat China Knives, Scissors and Swords Museum, and he compares the canal to "Seine River"in China to affirm the significance of waterway transportation for economic development.

Kosareva Kseniia plans to bring the self-made jade ware and oil-paper umbrella back to Russia and tell a story about the dynamic inheritance of China’s world heritages to the family members.
