Luis Oswaldo Lopez Alvarez, El Salvador's ambassador to China, hosted a coffee promotion event in Hangzhou on May 7, highlighting the country's renowned coffee culture and forging stronger trade ties with local businesses.

Ambassador Lopez introduced El Salvador's national development and proudly showcased its high-quality Arabica coffee. Eleven specialty and single-origin espresso (SOE) beans from El Salvador were featured in a cupping session, giving attendees a taste of the country's volcanic-grown brews.

"El Salvador's volcanic coffee is pure, aromatic, and pleasantly sweet," said Jin Meiyang, president of the Hangzhou Coffee and Western Cuisine Industry Association. "We hope to reach an agreement to buy thousands of tons of coffee."

Local baristas brewed fresh coffee on-site using Salvadoran beans, drawing praise from participating company representatives for the rich flavor and smooth finish. Hangzhou residents can now enjoy authentic Salvadoran coffee right on their doorstep.
