This year, spring break becomes a key word of China’s education reform. As a city that implements the spring break system earlier, Hangzhou has a longer spring break this year, with better school services.
This year’s spring break for primary and middle school students in Hangzhou may be connected to the May Day holiday, with a maximum of nine consecutive days off. Quite a few parents in Hangzhou start to snap up train tickets, and plan to start the long-distance or short-distance travel with their children.
For dual-income families without spring break, some schools in Hangzhou launch the free trusteeship service. During the trusteeship period, school libraries, sports venues and other facilities are open to students, and cultural & sports activities are organized to reassure parents.
