The 2024 Zhejiang-Beijing High-Level Talent Fair took place in Beijing on Nov 16, marking the 24th year of Zhejiang's recruitment efforts in the capital.
Nearly 100 prominent organizations offered over 3,800 positions across various fields, attracting 3,727 attendees and receiving 3,298 resumes, including 916 PhDs and 2,146 master's degree holders. Preliminary agreements were reached with 568 candidates.
Participating organizations included 27 universities, 18 research institutes, over 10 State-owned enterprises, nearly 10 listed companies, and over 20 private enterprises. Positions spanned more than 30 industries, including education, IT, biotechnology, energy, and logistics. Universities and research institutes accounted for the majority, offering 1,892 jobs for researchers, professors, and postdoctoral fellows.
Generous incentives were provided, such as Zhejiang University of Technology's "Canal Youth Scholar" position, offering an annual salary starting at 500,000 yuan ($69,049), a 1-million-yuan housing subsidy, and 800,000 yuan in research funding. Top-tier postdoctoral positions offered salaries of up to 600,000 yuan.
To enhance accessibility, the fair combined on-site and online platforms, with the Zhejiang Talent Network hosting a dedicated page for jobseekers to submit applications for a month.
