Recently, Hangzhou has continuously set up three Russian theme supermarkets which are respectively located in three business districts including Xintiandi Shopping Mall, Trade Union CC beside the West Lake, and Binjiang POWERLONG. These supermarkets supply abundant goods imported from Russia, attracting numerous young and foreign customers.

The food imported from Russia is favored by Chinese consumers, which is nothing new. Since 2022, such goods have been popular on various e-commerce platforms, which encouraged the opening of Russian supermarkets in many places in China.
