In recent years, Hangzhou has achieved remarkable results in the construction of rural museums. There are 143 rural (community) museums. These museums cover village history, folk custom, intangible cultural heritage, characteristic industry, and other fields, becoming the engine for cultural revitalization.

Hangzhou takes innovative measures, such as pairing for joint construction, and exhibition holding, to realize resource sharing of urban and rural museums, and enhance the influence of museums.

The integration of culture and tourism is also a highlight. Based on the rural museum tour route, Hangzhou successfully builds a batch of unique rural museum clusters, and becomes the hot spot for cultural tourism.
