On October 22, Hangzhou Metro announced that 130 unmanned trains would be put into operation in the next five years.

Metro Lines 12, 15 and 18 will adopt unmanned trains. The operation of unmanned trains is adjusted through the central control room, and the running efficiency is improved. For passengers, this means that the distribution of trains is more reasonable and frequent.

80 new metro stations are upgraded to smart stations. Patrol inspection, ticketing, consultation and other services are intelligent.

In addition, Hangzhou Metro releases the green and smart construction plan, with a purpose to achieve the goal of carbon peaking by 2030. It builds the smart infrastructure platform, covering five core business sectors, such as running, service, operation & maintenance, management, and construction.
