Yesterday morning, an aircraft carrying 14 tons of king crabs (Paralithodes camtschaticus) arrived at Hangzhou International Airport after the 12-hour flight. After passing the on-site quarantine supervision by Hangzhou International Airport Customs, the customs successfully cleared these king crabs. They were quickly transported to the malls, supermarkets and seafood markets in Hangzhou and its surrounding areas for sale.
This year, fresh products from all over the world, such as live blue crab (Scylla serrata), live spiny lobster (Cambarus) and frozen Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), reach Hangzhou through about 100 fixed cargo flights every week. From January to September, 890 batches of imported fresh products weighing 6,052.5 tons safely and quickly enter the domestic market under the quarantine supervision by Hangzhou International Airport Customs.
