Yuhang district in Hangzhou revealed a blueprint for its future New Central Axis on Oct 11, which will be positioned as a key hub for the city's expansion.
At the High-Quality Development Conference for Hangzhou's New Central Axis, plans were outlined to create a futuristic, internationally-minded urban axis that will drive innovation and youth-oriented growth.
The development will span six key areas: an international digital business zone, a smart innovation headquarters zone, a creative financial hub, an arts and culture district, a waterfront leisure area, and a cultural tourism zone. The digital business area already houses major players like Alibaba, ByteDance, and Vivo, solidifying Yuhang's role in the digital economy.
Several key projects were also announced, including the construction of the Yuhang International Sports Center to host large-scale events and Future Park, which are set to be completed by 2027. Additionally, the Yuhang International Performing Arts Center, with both a concert hall and theater, will become a new cultural landmark by 2028.
Yuhang's new central axis is designed to enhance the city's appeal by offering world-class facilities and creating opportunities for cultural and commercial growth.
