During the National Day holiday, the passenger traffic of Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway increases rapidly, which marks the necessity of fast travel between two cities.

It is reported that, the new high-speed railway will be built between Hangzhou and Wenzhou. This route is composed of Hangzhou-Ningbo High-speed Railway and Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway.

Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway runs from Ningboxi Station to Wenzhoudong Station, passeing through Taizhou, with total distance of 307 km and a designed speed of 350 km/h. After completion, travel time of a train connecting Hangzhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou is expected to be shortened significantly.
