The Third Global Digital Trade Expo concluded in Hangzhou on Sept 29, witnessing remarkable increases in exhibition area as well as the number of participating enterprises, professional buyers, and visitors, leading to stronger overall results.
A total of 1,546 companies exhibited products, with over 30,000 professional buyers engaged in negotiations. The exhibition spanned 150,000 square meters and attracted more than 200,000 visitors. Delegates from 123 countries, regions, and international organizations participated, alongside over 6,700 foreign guests, setting a new record.
The event culminated in the signing of agreements for 113 projects worth a total of 165.08 billion yuan ($23.54 billion), including significant foreign investments. A newly introduced talent cooperation initiative attracted 108 universities and over 100 companies, generating 63,000 jobs and exceeding 2.46 million views online.
The expo featured an extensive range of displays, with 446 new products showcased - nearly a quarter of which were from international exhibitors. Notable highlights included presentations from pharmaceutical giant Danaher and a collaborative exhibition with Guangzhou Ehang.
Additionally, the event implemented key initiatives to promote modernization in partnership with Africa and hosted themed days such as Digital Trade Africa Day and the Global Smart Cities Conference. A total of 32 major activities and 161 supporting events were held.
The 4th Global Digital Trade Expo is scheduled for Sept 25-29, 2025, with plans to strengthen cross-border e-commerce and digital services, positioning Hangzhou as a global digital trade hub.
