"Hangzhou Youli" cultural gifts made their international debut at Kyrgyz National University on Sept 12, drawing admiration from attendees.
Among the showcased items were the Yuhang paper umbrellas and "Fulu Celadon" scented candles, which were praised for their craftsmanship and cultural significance.
This marks the first global outreach of the "Hangzhou Youli" campaign, a celebration of Hangzhou's unique local culture. The initiative, launched to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, features 20 distinctive gifts from various regions in Hangzhou, with over 500,000 views and widespread online engagement.
As part of this international cultural exchange, Zhejiang International Studies University's faculty, led by Chen Haiping, presented these traditional Hangzhou gifts, highlighting the beauty of Chinese craftsmanship through hand-drawn posters. These artworks are set to accompany future overseas exhibitions, promoting Hangzhou's rich heritage.
The cultural exchange is continuing to attract global interest, further spreading the charm of Chinese culture abroad.
