The launch ceremony of the "X-power" Consumption Promotion Action was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Sept 7. The action is co-hosted by Sinopec, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, and the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province.
During the ceremony, Li Yuxing, vice-president of Sinopec, announced a series of measures for the initiative, including distributing 3.6 billion yuan ($507.93 million) in consumer vouchers encompassing refueling, shopping, and travel services, with 700 million yuan allocated for Zhejiang.
This year, Sinopec has launched a brand event called the "Sinopec Car Owners Festival", offering over 230 road-trip routes in 31 provinces and upgrading 4,000 refueling stations to rest stops for drivers, with 11 routes and 337 stations in Zhejiang.
"X-power 98" is the first domestic gasoline independently developed by Sinopec and first launched in 2021. Collaborating with marathon events, the brand has been helping promote the marathon nationwide, attracting running enthusiasts in 13 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou.
Sinopec's instant retail format has expanded in Guangxi, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Beijing, and the 11th "Easy Joy" store opened in Hangzhou on Sept 7. Zhejiang stores' "front store, back warehouse" model allows customers to select from more than 5,000 products online, with 15-minute deliveries within a 3-kilometer radius.
The initiative will run until the end of the year, covering over 31,000 refueling stations in 31 provinces and cities, alongside online activities like live-streaming and group purchases, aiming to boost consumption and provide all consumers with more convenient services.
