In a historic moment at the Paris Olympics, 19-year-old Wang Lanjing from Hangzhou, alongside teammates Ding Xinyi, Guo Qiqi, Hao Ting, and Huang Zhangjiayang, led China to its first-ever gold medal in the rhythmic gymnastics team all-around event. This marks the second gold medal won by Hangzhou athletes at the Games.

Born in 2005, Wang's journey in rhythmic gymnastics began at the age of five when she was scouted by a coach from Hangzhou Chen Jinglun Sports School. Since then, she has progressed rapidly, moving from the provincial to national levels and culminating in this Olympic triumph.

Despite the challenges, including a severe leg injury in 2017, Wang's determination and love for the sport have been unwavering. Her mother, Wang Keke, has always supported her, emphasizing the importance of happiness and resilience over achievements.

Wang's victory in Paris is not only a historical achievement but also fulfills the hopes of her family and supporters, solidifying her status as a rising star in Chinese gymnastics.
