Manuele Maoro, a senior designer from Italy, is deeply attracted by Hangzhou, and has lived here for 12 years.
He was born in Milan, and graduated from the Department of Architecture, University of Florence. He originally planned to start a milk factory in Hangzhou. However, he was fascinated by Hangzhou's creative art atmosphere, so he founded a design company near Fenghuang Hill at Hangzhou's Xiaoshan District.
His works appear in Italy, Dubai, and Shanghai, covering luxury stores, private mansions and public construction projects.
He believes that a deep understanding of Chinese culture helps to get more creative inspiration and earn the trust of Asian partners.
He praises the ease and freedom of life in Hangzhou, calling it the City of Creativity, where he finds more opportunities and inspiration.
