Twelve players from Hangzhou competed at Paris Olympic Games and won two gold medals.
Huang Yaqiong and her teammate Zheng Siwei seized gold medal of the badminton mixed doubles event. Wang Lanjing, the 19-year-old player, first helped China Team take the team all-around gold medal of rhythmic gymnastics.
Although some athletes from Hangzhou fail to win medals, their spirit is commendable. Ye Shiwen, a famous swimmer, took sixth place of the 200m breaststroke event. Fei Liwei, a young player, respectively ranked the sixth and ninth in the men's 400m and 1,500m freestyle events. Wang Nan, the post-2000s player, finished fifth in the women's kayak single 500m event. Chen Yule and Yu Shimeng took the 14th place of the women's kayak double 500m event (canoe sprint). Zou Jiaqi and her teammate came thirteenth in the women's lightweight double sculls event (rowing). Chen Yufei, a veteran player, got into the final eight in the women's badminton singles event. Canoe Player Wang Congkang and Sailing Player Xu Zangjun made the greatest efforts. Rider Jiang Yulu as a substitute witnessed the wonderful moment of the Olympic Games.
