On July 31, Hangzhou International Airport recorded a single-day passenger throughput of 154,600. The monthly passenger throughput in July was up to 4,488,800. Both figures set new records.

Passengers involved in "family tour", "study tour" and "vacation tour" dominated the summer travel rush at Hangzhou International Airport. Beijing, Chengdu and Urumqi are very popular destinations for domestic travel. Japan, Thailand, Korea, and Singapore are still hot choices for outbound trips. With the increase of visa-free countries, the inbound and outbound passenger flow continues to rise, averaging 14,000 daily in July, up 56 percent compared with the same period in 2023.
