On July 31, Hangzhou International Airport welcame China's self-developed large passenger aircraft C919 for the first time. The flight departing from Guangzhou conducted the route training, without passengers. The aircraft flew from Hangzhou to Chengdu after various tests were completed.

The C919 is China's first single-aisle large aircraft with proprietary intellectual property rights. At present, it is used for commercial flights in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.

Although Hangzhou International Airport has no immediate plans to operate the C919, the training flight is part of the aircraft's preparation before commercial operation.
