The newly opened Qinghe (Green Lotus) Service Center on Gudang Sub-district has already generated a significant buzz - over 200 people has applied within the first week. The center is part of Hangzhou’s “Spring Rain” Initiative, a comprehensive plan offering incentives like subsidies, entrepreneurial support, and seven-day free accommodation to attract top talents.
Zou, a recent graduate from Shaanxi, was among the first to benefit from the center’s hospitality. “I learned about this program before arriving in Hangzhou,” he said. “The ‘Talent Hangzhou’ applet made applying easy, and I selected the Gudang Qinghe Service Center due to its convenient location near potential employers, the subway, and the popular tourist destination, OoEli.”
The Gudang Qinghe Service Center provides free accommodation for up to seven days (six nights) to young people who are not the city’s permanent residents, but have graduated within the past two years and are seeking jobs or startup opportunities in the Xihu District. “With all household appliances provided, guests can simply move in with their luggage and feel right at home,” said Fu Weiping, manager of the Center. “We also offer free entertainment options like table tennis, esports, and karaoke.” These fully furnished apartments, combined with thoughtful amenities and services, create a welcoming temporary home for young talent pursuing career opportunities in West Lake District.
