Hangzhou is heating things up this summer with the release of Report on Hangzhou's Night Show Project and the launch of "Ye! Hangzhou," a brand-new tourism initiative kicking off on July 3rd. This project, spearheaded by the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, aims to transform Hangzhou’s nightlife and elevate cultural experience for tourists. From July 4 to August 31, the project will offer a vibrant mix of free and discounted events, including seven tourists-targeted night shows, performance at four Innovative Performing Arts Venues, and parent-child nights in a scenic area.

This summer, the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism is bringing families unforgettable nights with a free parent-child program featuring a variety of exciting performances. It offers dazzling night shows like Elegance of Xianghu Lake, Huanglong Cave Night Show, and Spirit of Water in Qiandao Lake Town, alongside immersive theater experiences like Dreamy Shangtang River, Hangzhou X Show, Together at Xixi Tonight, and Enduring Memories of Hangzhou, as well as four resident stage plays produced by Mahua FunAge: Shear Madness Salon, Shock Me Now, Boeing Boeing, and Love Begins. For parent-child nights, Hangzhou's Night Show Project has a special "Buy One, Get One Free for Kids" offer—purchase an adult ticket and bring a child under 14 for free. Innovative Performing Arts Venues have a "Buy One, Get One Free" deal for adult tickets, so you can bring a friend or family member along (regardless of age).

This dynamic program reflects the evolving needs of tourists seeking engaging, immersive nightlife experiences. The newly released Report on Hangzhou's Night Show Project emphasizes the importance of deep integration of culture into tourism, high-quality productions, and innovative business models. It underscores the need for performances that seamlessly blend cultural heritage with Hangzhou’s distinct character. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of combining artistic elements with technology to create diverse performance formats, fostering artistic exploration and promoting high-quality development of the Night Show Project. Ultimately, these efforts aim to propel Hangzhou towards its goal of becoming a "City of Performing Arts."

Over 1.75 million visitors flocked to the project's five downtown night shows last year, generating nearly one billion yuan in revenue through 3,430 performances. One of the shows achieved the highest performance count with 1,400.

On the day "Ye! Hangzhou" was launched, Hangzhou also announced the establishment of the Tourism and Performing Arts Alliance and held a license award ceremony for the city's first Innovative Performing Arts Venues.
