On July 8, Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study received the seventh batch of Chang’e-5 lunar research samples. They weigh 213 mg, used for load direction verification test to implement the spectrometer calibration of Chang’e-7.
Shu Rong Team of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering of Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study works with multidisciplinary departments to explore the mysteries of the moon. The samples will be returned to China National Space Administration after being researched.
This move signifies that Hangzhou can independently conduct the lunar soil research to boost the development of aerospace information industry.
