Gongshu district has launched the city's first specialized talent policy to boost the high-quality development of the life and health industry, according to the Hangzhou Daily on June 8.

The announcement was made at a recent meeting focused on building a high-level, innovative talent and entrepreneur team.

The new policy, titled Opinions on Supporting High-level Talent Aggregation in the Life and Health Industry, introduces 12 comprehensive measures to support talent recruitment, project implementation, innovation, R&D, industrialization and commercialization of research results, enterprise development, and financial support.

During the event, representatives signed agreements for 12 "Dayun Talent" innovation and entrepreneurship projects, including high-performance chip projects and AI cloud computing platforms for electric vehicle health management. Additionally, four projects were showcased through presentations.

Since its inception in June 2022, the "Dayun Talent" initiative has attracted 176 high-level talent projects, generating a revenue of 979 million yuan ($134.97 million) in 2023. The initiative supports specialized and innovative enterprises, securing 1.03 billion yuan in social financing, and has become a crucial platform for talent development and project attraction.

Gongshu has consistently aimed to create the optimal ecosystem for talent development. The district has integrated the "Gongshu Talent Code" service function, providing comprehensive, one-stop services for over 20,000 talents. It has introduced 1,162 units of talent-owned shared property housing and allocated 637 rental units for talent. Additionally, the district has facilitated nearly 300 million yuan in financing for talent enterprises and addressed educational needs for numerous talent families.
