On June 5, Qiantang Railway Station, a high-speed railway station in the east of Hangzhou, started construction. It is a complex with an integration of transport, commerce, office and leisure, expected to be completed within four years.

After being completed, Qiantang Railway Station can be connected to Jiaxing, Suzhou and Shanghai in the north, as well as Shaoxing, Jinhua and Taizhou in the south, helping promote integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

The residents in Qiantang District can reach Shanghai within one hour, without taking a train at Hangzhoudong Railway Station.

This will build the open urban space and play space, with functions like culture & art exhibitions.

An international new district will be built near the station with good educational and medical resources, making it a livable place.
