On June 1, Hangzhou Digital Trade Promotion Regulation was included in "2024 China Top Ten Influential Events for Digital Economy Development and Legal Construction", becoming China's first local regulations in digital trade.

It defines concept, scope and business model of digital trade, clarifies that the local legislative body can promote establishment and implementation of cross-border data flow rules, specifies responsibilities of government departments in boosting digital trade, and puts forward the measures to optimize digital business climate.

By implementing the regulation, Hangzhou strives to become a leading digital trade city in China and even in the world.
