Starting from May 6, Hangzhou supports the online handling service for entry and exit visits. Hangzhou's residents aged 16 or above can apply for renewal or reissuance of related documents online, if they have applied for and obtained a passport, Exit-Entry Permit for Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, or Taiwan Travel Permit for Mainland Residents, and such documents are valid.

The online application platform includes Government Service Platform of National Immigration Administration, National Immigration Administration App, WeChat and Alipay Immigration Administration Applets.

The person in charge of the Exit-Entry Department of Hangzhou Public Security Bureau reckoned online handling can save time and is more accurate and efficient.
