With the approaching of May Day holiday, Hangzhou is expected to see a surge in tourists. In order to facilitate travel of tourists, Hangzhou rolls out a series of new measures to alleviate the potential congestion at the West Lake Scenic Area and Hangzhoudong Railway Station.

Hangzhou optimizes bus routes of the West Lake Scenic Area. The buses will be only allowed stopping at stations with high passenger flow to keep away from congested roads and improve operation efficiency there.

A new direct express line leading to Lingyin Scenic Area has been set up at Hangzhoudong Railway Station, in a bid to shorten the travel time of tourists.

The luggage storage service is added at Lingyin Bus Station, making travel easier for tourists.

In addition, Hangzhou adds lanes at the west parking lot of Hangzhoudong Railway Station and optimizes vehicle routes to ease the congestion caused by construction.
