The Linping Campus of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University held job and startup orientations for international students on April 16, local media outlets reported.
"I've been in Hangzhou for 10 years. I graduated with a master's degree from ZSTU, and have my own startup team here focusing on cross-border trade platforms to help small and medium-sized enterprises expand overseas," said 29-year-old Tajikistani Meng Ke.
The event was initiated in 2023, with 60 international students across the province joining the innovation and entrepreneurship teams last year, benefiting 55 companies. This year's event is aimed at providing deeper connections for international entrepreneurs in resource aggregation, policy services, and overseas enterprise expansion.
At the event, the Linping Immigration Affairs Service Station was established, which integrates community policing with immigration affairs to provide government services, policy and regulatory publicity, coordination of foreign-related disputes, cultural exchanges between Chinese and foreign nationals, and salon activities for international students and enterprises.
"The Linping district government has introduced a series of supportive policies, such as talent subsidies, settlement subsidies, talent apartments, children's education, and social gatherings, building a bridge for engagement between enterprises and international students," said a company representative.
The event also launched a job fair, where 19 companies collected roughly 310 resumes, and 12 international students signed innovation and entrepreneurship intention letters with six companies on-site.
