The aerial view of Hangzhouxi Railway Station is wonderful. Its black part at the edge of it roof is made of monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic panel, able to convert solar energy into electricity.

Since Hangzhouxi Railway Station was put into operation, the photovoltaic power station has been generating electricity, with a total power generating capacity of 4,488,000 kWh, cutting down the carbon dioxide emission of 4,474 tons. In 2023, the annual power generation was 2,988,200 kWh, exceeding the expected value of 2,310,000 kWh, cutting down carbon dioxide emission of 2,979.21 tons.

The generated electricity is used by the lighting equipment, air conditioners and other facilities at the railway station, which can not only lower the energy consumption, but also obtain additional benefits through the Green Power Certificate or carbon emissions trading, to achieve the purpose of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality".
