The two-day 2024 National Athletics Grand Prix Second Station commenced at the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium in Hangzhou on April 13.
The event attracted 32 teams and individuals from across the country, totaling nearly 1,500 athletes and coaches. It is the largest gathering of athletes in this year's National Athletics Grand Prix and marks the first national athletics event to be held at the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium.
There are a total of 28 gold medals up for grabs – 14 for men and 14 for women – and the competition includes a wide range of events such as the 100/200/400/800/10,000 meters, 3,000-m steeplechase, men's 110-m hurdles, 400-m hurdles (men/women), 4x100-m relay (men/women), 4x400-m relay (men/women), pole vault, long jump, shot put, javelin throw, and women's heptathlon.
Each event offers corresponding prize money based on the best global performances in 2023 and the qualification standards for the Paris Olympics and the 15th National Games.
