Starting from today, Hangzhou enters the flood season which is expected to last for six months.

It is predicted that, during the flood season this year, Hangzhou will have higher rainfall, with fewer rainy days. The impact of typhoons may be worse. Extreme meteorological and hydrological events could occur frequently. There may be floods in areas such as the Qiantang River, the Tiaoxi River, and the Grand Canal.

Hangzhou has implemented various flood control measures since mid-February, including on-duty guarding, monitoring and early warning, and emergency drills, to ensure safety of people's life and property.
