The first Hangzhou Fuyang-Fuchun Resort Half Marathon is set to kick off along the banks of the Fuchun River in Hangzhou's Fuyang district on April 21.

The event will feature both a half marathon and a fun run, with 6,000 individuals expected to participate.

The marathon route integrates the natural beauty and cultural landmarks along the Fuchun River. Runners will start from the Lushan Square and traverse cultural landmarks such as the Fuchun Mountain Resort, Dongwu Cultural Park, Yu Dafu Park, and Guanshan Mountain Park, giving them the chance to enjoy the unique landscapes on both sides of the Fuchun River.

The race attire and finisher medals were also announced, with the race attire featuring different hues of lake blue, reminiscent of the rippling waters of the Fuchun River, while incorporating elements of Fuchun Mountain Resort. The finisher medal presents an elegant tableau, cleverly incorporating the upper half of the renowned painting Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains.

Furthermore, nearly 20 cheer stations will line the marathon route, showcasing Fuyang's cultural heritage through tai chi, Yueju Opera, diabolo, and drum performances. Additionally, scenic spots along the route will offer free admission or discounted tickets to the runners.
