Recently, Dwelling by the West Lake, a hit film shot in Hangzhou, has drawn extensive attention. So does Hangzhou's movie industry. Many film & TV bases are being built throughout Hangzhou to boost tourism.

An archaistic shooting base, reputed as "Little Hengdian"(Hengdian, a renowed shooting base), is about to be completed near the Grand Canal in Linping District, to offer a decent place for diversified scenarios in costume drama.

"Film Town" beside Fuchun River in Tonglu County is being under construction. A new film & TV academy and a shooting base, where digital technologies will be applied while shooting, will be built.

Hangzhou's investment in the film & TV industry aims to showcase its cultural charm, to attract more tourists and investors so as to boost its high-quality economic development.
