In order to cope with the surge in passengers during upcoming three-day Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, the railway in Hangzhou takes measures such as adding operational trains and nighttime high-speed trains to meet needs of passengers for trips.

The added trains mainly are connected to popular destinations like Shanghai, Nanjing, Nanchang, Yiwu, Jinhua, Quzhou, and Baotou.

It is expected that Hangzhou’s railways will see 1.72 million passenger trips to be made during the holiday, with a year-on-year increase of 13.2 percent compared with 2019 and the peak of the passenger flow is expected to be seen on April 4.

During the holiday, the expressway is free of charge, and it is expected that Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, Hangzhou-Nanjing Expressway, Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou Expressway, and Hangzhou-Huizhou Expressway will be relatively congested.
