The three-day "Overseas Hangzhou" Vietnam Expo concluded on March 29, attracting over 22,000 buyers and generating nearly $170 million in intended transactions. Notably, 151 Hangzhou enterprises secured intended orders totaling $80 million.

In recent years, Vietnam has captured the attention of Hangzhou enterprises, with many seeking new opportunities by establishing factories in the Southeast Asian country, among other methods.

For example, GreatStar Technology, headquartered in Hangzhou, coordinates the R&D of new products and production management standards which are simultaneously implemented in its overseas factories in Vietnam, steadily enhancing its innovation capabilities.

During the expo, the China-Vietnam economic and trade exchange conference was also held. Leveraging the expo's platform, Chinese enterprises visited factories of Hangzhou companies investing in Vietnam and exchanged experiences in exploring overseas markets. Cainiao Group's Vietnam branch, in particular, participated in a forum organized by the Ministry of Commerce at the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, engaging in discussions with enterprises like Haier, Midea, Bank of China, and China COSCO Shipping.

The expo also encouraged exhibitors to place secondary orders, with 211 booths booked on-site for "Overseas Hangzhou" exhibitions to be held in other countries. This year, Hangzhou plans to organize "Overseas Hangzhou" exhibitions in nine countries, including Japan, the UAE, the United States, and Germany.
