The public transport passenger flow of Hangzhou's West Lake Scenic Area sets a record. The average daily passenger flow at weekends exceeds that during the Spring Festival holiday.

In order to cope with numerous passengers, Hangzhou Public Transport Group optimizes the on-site management at the south entrance & exit of Su Causeway, sets designated entrances and exits, separates independent tourists and tour groups, adjusts the starting point of the West Lake Ring Line to save necessity of transferring for tourists as soon as possible.

Since the start of tourist season, on average, the West Lake Scenic Area has welcomed nearly 200,000 tourist per day on weekdays, and 388,400 tourists per day at weekends. More than 70 percent of tourists choose the travel mode of "metro + bus".
