Construction start on the Global New Materials International Asia-Pacific Headquarters and Surface Performance Material Research and Production Base in Tonglu county, Hangzhou on March 25.
Last November, it was confirmed that the project, with a total investment of 10.33 billion yuan ($1.43 billion), would be built in Tonglu. It represents the county's largest-ever investment in manufacturing.
Since the signing, the local government and the company have closely cooperated to enhance efficiency and save time.
The project is expected to become another landmark of Tonglu's industrial development, helping the county shape its new material industrial chain, build a high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing industry, and infuse new momentum into local economic development.
