Last year, Hangzhou was included in the first batch of China carbon peaking pilot cities. Recently, Hangzhou has released Hangzhou Carbon Peaking Pilot Implementation Plan. It will strive to build the national carbon peaking demonstration area by 2030.
Hangzhou builds the digital & intelligent governance system for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality based on a smart urban brain in the digital & intelligent aspect, accelerates the construction of the technology research and development source for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in terms of science and technology to boost transformation of achievements, and explores the "double-control" system for carbon emissions at the institutional level to deepen the management of high-carbon and low-efficiency projects.
The plan includes an overall plan, involving ten key initiatives, such as digital & intelligent empowerment, energy conservation and carbon reduction, promotes seven institutional innovations, and implements seven major projects.
