In Hangzhou, when it comes to trendy spots in the vibrant spring ambiance, there's no better way than taking a boat trip.

Yanggong Causeway

The lesser- known West Lake boat route, centered around the water charm of Maoxiang Village, primarily concentrates on the Yanggong Causeway. This scenic area is often regarded as the "hid- den gem within West Lake". Embarking on this route allows you to traverse numerous ancient bridges and archways by rowing or paddling a boat, or taking a Chinese style small decorated boat.

Prices:

Rowing boat: 150 yuan per hour per boat

Sculling boat: 180 yuan per hour per boat

Small decorated boat: 50-90 yuan per person.

Tips:If you plan to visit the islands, you need to purchase a separate island admission ticket(20 yuan per person).

Boat piers:

Rowing boat: Hubin 2nd Pier, Bro- ken Bridge Pier, Zhongshan Pier, Hang- fan Pier, etc.

Paddle boat: Majiawan Pier, Hang- fan Pier

Small painting boat; Huagang Pier, Qianwang Temple Pier, Hubin Park 1st,2nd and 5th Piers, etc.

Operating hours: 7:00-18:00

Prince Bay

The West Lake scenic area has organized the "Love Like Flowers" 2024 Prince Bay Tulip Flower Exhibition, which officially started on Mar 8. You may take the water route running until Apr 14 for the exhibition and enjoy the blooming flowers along the way.

Prices:

Adults: 15 yuan per person per trip

Children below1.2 meters: Free

Children between 1.2 meters and 1.5 meters: Half price

Routes: 

Two options are available for the trip:

One route is from Qianwang Temple Pier to Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond Pier (round trip).

The other is from Hangfan Pier (opposite HangzhouShangri- La Hotel) to Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond Pier(round trip).

Operating hours:

Qianwang Temple Pier, Hangfan Pier:8:00-16:00

Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond Pier: 9:00-17:00

Xixi Wetland Park

As the spring breeze caresses the surroundings, creating ripples on the water, every step in Xixi Wetland unveils a picturesque view. The interconnected water- ways form a distinctive waterborne route. You can take a paddle boat to fully enjoy the captivating beauty of spring flowers and savor the tranquil city life.

Price: 

100 yuan per hour per boat

Free areas:

Fu Causeway Paddle Boat Pier-- Fu Causeway Hezhu Street Paddle Boat Pier

Tips: The routes in each area are not interconnected Each boat can accommodate 2-6 people, including infants and toddlers.

Grand Canal

The Grand Canal, which has flowed peacefully through centuries, now offers a Water Bus service only just three yuan. With lush greenery adorning both banks and a vibrant spring atmosphere, it is truly a sight to behold.

You have two route options to choose from.

Water Bus Line 1:

a classic route that allows you to experience the bustling cityscape

Operating hours :

7:00-18:00,with departures every half hour

Route:

Wulinmen Pier -- Xiangji Temple -- Dadou Road Historic District -- Xiaohe Street -- Gongchen Bridge

Water Bus Line 7: 

more suitable for enjoying the scenic views along the canal .

Operating hours:

Donghe Baziqiao 7:00-17:00; Meihuabei 8:00-18:00

Route: 

Donghe Baziqiao Pier -- Meihuabei Pier
