On March 20 marking the Spring Equinox, West Lake Longjing Tea started to be picked, and a wonderful tea picking festival was held in Hangzhou.

Tea specialists, dressed in tea attire with hats on heads and tea baskets on back, were picking tea in a tea garden. 

Tea specialists showed tea whisking technique of the Song Dynasty.

Tea specialists performed etiquette of serving tea, a gesture to express their gratitude to nature.

People participated in the ceremony of “shouting at tea”, a gesture to send blessing for a good harvest of tea.
