On March 14, Hangzhou welcomed the first batch of visa-free entry personnel, thanks to China’s previous visa-free policy for six European countries including Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

According to the relevant data, since the implementation of the policy, Hangzhou has seen a steep growth of visa-free entry personnel from Europe, surpassing 2100 individuals. It is expected that this number will continue to rise.

Moreover, the visa-free policy has fueled Chinese inbound tourism. The booking volume of inbound tourism orders from six countries has nearly tripled compared with figures of last year. Among them, Switzerland, Belgium, and Hungary have seen substantial growth.
