On March 5, the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush came to an end. Hangzhou's total passenger volume in comprehensive transport reached 270 million, up 29.5 percent compared with that in 2023, rising 11.8 percent compared with that in 2019. The total passenger volume hits a record high.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, the intercity passenger volume has increased significantly. The railway passenger volume rose 33.1 percent, while the civil aviation passenger volume has an increase of 45.2 percent. During peak hours, the number of passengers entering Hangzhoudong Railway Station every minute was up to 300. Hangzhouxi Railway Station accumulatively transported 1,551,800 passengers. The passenger throughput of Hangzhou International Airport exceeded 140,000 for eight consecutive days. The highway passenger volume was significantly rebounded after the decline.

On the average, the West Lake Scenic Area received 631,000 tourists every day, with a growth of 31.8 percent compared with that in 2023.
