Looking down on Qiandao Lake in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province from the air, one can see islands dotting the surface of the lake, with harbors crisscrossing between them, while clouds and mist intertwine with the lake waters to create a picturesque scene. As China's largest man-made lake, it forms part of a scenic area that is also the country's largest forest park. The dense foliage accounts for 93 percent of the forest coverage and contains more than 1,700 species of plants. The lake has been classified as a national first-class water body.
