Yesterday, the international sports center made significant progress—the comprehensive gymnasium and swimming & diving center project officially started construction.

The international sports center is located in Yuhang District. The project covers a total land area of about 261,000 square meters, with a total investment of nearly 9.5 billion yuan. It is planned to build “one pitch and two venues”, which is a 60000-seat professional football pitch, 18000-seat comprehensive gymnasium, and 3000-seat swimming & diving center, scheduled to be completed and put into operation at the beginning of 2027.

For sports, the international sports center can hold high-level international professional sports events, such as football, basketball, badminton, tennis, diving, and swimming. For art performance, the football pitch and comprehensive gymnasium can host large-scale concerts, major evening parties and esports.
