Hangzhou's 5G-A Smart Asian Games City project was recently shortlisted for the list of Best Mobile Innovation for Cities at the 2024 GSMA Global Mobile Awards.

Only five projects globally made the shortlist.

The award aims to recognize projects or solutions that utilize 5G innovative technology to address urban challenges and enhance quality of life. The inclusion of Hangzhou's project signifies international recognition, and also provides valuable insight into how to leverage 5G-A technology to enhance urban governance efficiency and improve people's lives.

Since becoming an official partner of the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2019, China Telecom has been actively exploring various 5G-A smart applications, including ultra-high-speed networks, intelligent metamaterials, ubiquitous sensing, and smart IoT, to help Hangzhou enhance spectator experiences, optimize management efficiency, and boost urban economic growth.
