As anticipation for spring grows following the Chinese New Year, good news has arrived from the West Lake Scenic Area: The first wave of early spring tulips has blossomed at Taiziwan Park, as have a few cherry blossoms.

The first tulips to bloom are the purple Airi variety, as they belong to the early flowering variety. Benefiting from recent warm weather and sunshine, they have bloomed ahead of other varieties. The flowers are a deep and mysterious shade of purple with a slight gloss, resembling silk robes. The delicate curling edges of the petals add to their charm.

Furthermore, near the windmills at Wangshanping Hill, cherry blossoms have also started to bloom. These early-blooming flowers belong to the Camellia cold cherry variety, known for its pink petals and elegant fragrance, bringing a unique splendor to the park.

The scenic area this year has introduced about 400,000 pots of flowers, covering an area of about 8,000 square meters, including tulips, daffodils, grape hyacinths, and cyclamen. The rose garden still features a special variety display area where visitors can witness several new varieties introduced for the first time domestically.

This year's Taiziwan Park Spring Flower Exhibition is expected to open next month. Let's look forward to more flowers blooming and welcome the arrival of spring.
