Since the third day of the first month of the lunar year, there has been a high passenger flow at Hangzhou International Airport, with a daily passenger throughput of more than 140,000 for five consecutive days, setting records for four times. 

During the Spring Festival travel rush, Hangzhou International Airport has been a bustling place for both domestic and foreign travelers. From January 26 to February 16, the airport saw 19,800 departing and arriving flights, and transported 2,935,000 passengers, rising 30.8 percent and 60.3 percent respectively compared with those in 2023, up 11.8 percent and 18.4 percent respectively compared with those in 2019.

Popular cities for domestic flights included Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, and Xi’an. Among them, the frequency of the flights to and from Guangzhou was the highest.

International flights were affected by visa-free policies of Singapore and Thailand, resulting in an increase of over 400 percent in inbound and outbound tours, with an estimated total flow of 500,000 passengers. During the Spring Festival travel rush, Hangzhou International Airport added international flights to Philippines, Maldives, Vietnam, etc., and the number of weekly flights had increased to 275.
