Hangzhou's online New Year shopping festival sees boom in consumption

With the approaching of the Spring Festival, a lot of merchants, e-commerce enterprises and live streaming institutions in Hangzhou held an online New Year shopping festival, allowing consumers to go shopping at home.

Yaoshengji, a time-honored brand of Hangzhou, held a special promotion activity, with its daily transaction volume of over 30,000 orders and the turnover of more than 1.5 million yuan. Wang Changqing, the general manager of Yaoshengji, said, “Product upgrade and brand effect online are key factors for growth.”

Many live streaming platforms carried out preferential and subsidized activities, to induce consumers to boost sales growth.

In addition, comprehensive goods were also popular in live streaming rooms. So far, more than 330 Hangzhou brands have appeared in living streaming rooms. The sales volume exceeded 811 million yuan.

The traditional e-commerce enterprises in Zhejiang rolled out various preferential policies and online promotional activities, to fuel consumption and promote the development of e-commerce industry.
