Asian Karate Federation, Boxing & Taekwondo Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, Chinese Karate Association, Sport Bureau of Zhejiang Province, and Hangzhou Sports Bureau signed the "World-famous City of Karate" Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Linping District People's Government. Given that, Hangzhou’s Linping is striving to build itself into a world-famous city of karate.

As the competition zone for karate at Hangzhou Asian Games, Linping Sports Center Venue Cluster held 264 games involved in 14 events, receiving 35 national and regional sports delegations. After the sporting gala, Asian Karate Federation granted Linping's event organizer the "Outstanding Contribution Award" to appreciate its event services.

After signing the agreement, Linping is committed to develop its karate strength to promote the construction of the "World-famous City of Karate" by introducing top events, seeking cooperation with international organizations, and enhancing sports education & training and fostering karate industries.
