Laba Festival in the lunar calendar of China fell on January 18 this year. The residents in Hangzhou ate Laba Porridge. The animals in Hangzhou Safari Park were no exception, and they ate the special food for Laba Festival provided by staff. Such food can not only get enough nutrition for these cute animals, but also involve some traditions in this festival.
A giant panda enjoyed fruit & vegetable salad containing apples, bamboo shoots, carrots, and pitaya.
A white tiger had a meal of tender chicken.
The animal keeper served the garlic (commonly known as "Laba Garlic") to a giraffe.
Ring-tailed lemurs had a meal containing dried and fresh fruits, such as red dates, peanuts, bananas, and oranges.
