According to the data announced by Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, from January to November, 2023, the total import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce in Hangzhou reached 124,805 million yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 20.55%. Among them, the export volume was 108.2 billion yuan, up 25.75% compared with a year earlier.

In response to the surge in cross-border goods during the "Double Eleven" online shopping festival last year, Hangzhou Customs has taken a series of measures, such as using big data and other technologies to strengthen risk assessment, and improving the accuracy and effectiveness of monitoring, to ensure the quality and safety of imported goods.

It is reported that, Zhejiang boasted 84 well-known cross-border e-commerce export brands in 2023, 25 brands of which were from Hangzhou. For this year, Hangzhou aims at increasing it cross-border e-commerce import and export volume by 150 billion yuan in a bid to transform itself into a new e-commerce capital.
